Founder & Principal Consultant
About Fred Davy
Fred Davy is a passionate and experienced STEM education consultant dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underrepresented youth. With over three decades of experience as an educator, STEM lab facilitator, and mentor, Fred brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success to every project.
Fred's philosophy of teaching is rooted in the belief that students learn best through hands-on, experiential learning. As he often says, "Education = Experience + Exposure." He strives to create engaging and inclusive learning environments where students can explore, discover, and develop their own understanding of STEM concepts. Fred believes in empowering students to become kinesthetic, tactile learners who are actively involved in their education, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
Throughout his career, Fred has held various leadership positions, including STEM Lab Facilitator at Friendship Public Charter School, Curriculum Resource Specialist, STEM Coordinator, and Assistant Academy Leader. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Trinity University, teaching courses on math pedagogy. His experience extends to robotics, where he has mentored high school robotics teams and served as a lead mentor/coach. Fred's commitment to STEM education is evident in his extensive professional development training and involvement with organizations such as Project Based Learning (PBL) sponsored by the Buck Institute, Project Lead the Way, the Advanced Facilitators Development Conference sponsored by Creative Learning Systems and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). He has also presented at education conferences including the Virginia Children's Engineering Convention, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and the National Academies Foundation (NAF) annual conference.
Fred's goal is to empower schools, districts, and communities to provide high-quality STEM education for all students, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the 21st century.
